Therasia and Santorini have long been connected, sharing the same volcanic caldera and natural harbour. The picturesque village Manolas , on the ridge of the caldera offers breathtaking views of the volcano,
the cave houses of Agrilia reflect the island's enduring connection with nature. Just a 10-minute boat ride from Ammoudi in Oia, the small harbour of Riva welcomes guests arriving at Santa Irini Retreat.

Therasia is a peaceful Cycladic island within the Santorini caldera, just a 10-minute boat ride from Oia. Surrounded by the volcanic landscape of the Aegean, it offers visitors a quieter and more authentic perspective of the Santorini archipelago. According to local tradition, Santorini takes its name from the historic Church of Santa Irini, located beside the retreat. It is the oldest among twenty-three churches scattered around Therasia. Santa Irini Retreat was created to preserve the character, architecture and slower rhythm of traditional Therasia, offering guests an experience deeply rooted in the island's heritage. Guests experience the serenity of one of the quietest islands of the Santorini archipelago while enjoying uninterrupted caldera views and the presence of the historic Church of Santa Irini beside the retreat.
